Smokers Helpline

Smokers Helpline

The PHA's Smokers Helpline service (0808 812 8008) ceased on 31st December 2014.

The demand for the smokers’ helpline has decreased in recent times, with smokers choosing to seek help from more online-based resources. As a result of this fall in demand, a decision was taken to close the helpline in order to focus attention on smokers’ preferred methods of seeking help.

The PHA has a range of stop smoking services available to those who want to quit, there are over 650 free stop smoking services across Northern Ireland in pharmacies; GP surgeries; hospitals; community centres and workplaces.

Anyone wanting to stop smoking can visit www.want2stop.info for helpful hints, tips and guidance on getting help to quit, you can also order a ‘Quit Kit’ free of charge by logging on to the website.
